What Could You Possibly Want with a Blue Sky Anyway???

What better way to spend a Friday morning than playing some tennis, right? The sun was out, the temperature was nice...it was heaven on earth, exactly what Southern California is famous for. But someone tipped them off back at the Air Force base that the sun was bombarding Los Angeles with photon packets replete with that harmful substance known as Vitamin D. Two squadrons were scrambled and the rest is history.

To all cloud-seeding doubters: take a look at these photos taken from my phone during our two hour game...and suck it!!!

On our way over, already a mess to the southwest

Looking northeast, a giant tic tac toe board is being constructed

Do you understand that if it weren't for this shit,
it would have been a perfectly clear, blue day???

My guess is they're not spraying pillow juice up there

Laker game at Staples Center! Oh wait, those aren't spotlights...

I really wish these clever heroes had crashed into each other

Yeah, that's a fucking cloud

Air Force Hero Pilot: "I just follow orders."

Gimme an H..."H!!!"

"It is accomplished." Amen.

When One Cloud is Suspect, All are Suspect

Taken on Feb 25, 2010. The sky has already been pretty much blanketed but these heroes, impervious to danger, head back for another sortie.

I see you sneakin' in there, buddy!

Burbank Borealis?

Maybe he ran out of stuff?

Exhibits C and D: What a cloudy day looks like

On Saturday, February 27, 2010, it was--GASP!--actually cloudy in Burbank. So a little reminder for those who may have forgotten what real clouds actually look like.

Big, billowing, fluffy, dirty pillows...

"Now these are what I call clouds," quoth the Raven.

Don't Forget About Me!

Sometime between 5-6 pm on Feb 23, 2010, behind the downtown Burbank post office we've got two planes gittin' their cloud on. Woo-woo!

Clear sunsets are so old-fashioned anyway. Thanks, dude!

Wait for meeeeeeee!!!!

Feb 16: A Day That Will Live in Infamy

This series of photos was taken on the afternoon of Feb 16, 2010, as I was heading around Burbank running errands. You can actually see the progression of these things as they balloon out over about 1-2 hours until they leave a soapy residue across the horizon. Anyone got a bottle of Tilex???

The gods must be flossing

Hey! We're looking past the Bob Hope Airport entrance.

Entering the Fry's Electronics parking lot

Half hour later, Fry's lot looking northwest,
more heroes than D-Day right here...

Leaving Fry's, looking back northeast

In the Lowe's parking lot now, some have expanded widely
but it's not enough, we need more!!! And our boys do not
shirk any duty in serving the US of A.

This is just disgusting. Really, WTF?
Does anyone actually think this is a cloud?

Usually you need to get money from the NEA
to come up with something so artistic.

Oh yeah, now we're cooking with butter!

Well shit, if it weren't for Captain Spin busting
a move I might actually have been fooled here.

Exhibits A and B: What a clear day looks like

Monday, February 15, 2010: 'Twas a flashback to years past when sunny Southern California was just that: sunny and clear. Any coincidence that it was Presidents' Day? And now that I think of it, when I walked over to my friend's house to watch the Super Bowl the previous Sunday (Feb 7), there was not a fake cloud in the sky. No doubt our heroes deserved a day off on these two holidays.
